June Fiona Lee
Fiona Lee (b. 1981, Vancouver) is an artist based in Elands, NSW on Biripi Country working across installation, photomedia, and sculpture. Fiona’s practice addresses critical social issues, with an emphasis on climate change and the post-natural world. Her work particularly highlights the profound environmental transformations driven by human activity, including the
impact of native forest logging and coal extraction.
Fiona’s work has been exhibited in numerous regional galleries and is included in the collections of Newcastle Art Gallery and Muswellbrook Regional Gallery. Her recent accolades include being the cover artist for Artlink Magazine, profiled on ABC & Artworks TV,commissioned to create a public artwork for the Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie,and selected for both the Liddell WORKS art residency and the Creative Climate Leadership programs.
Fiona holds a bachelor degree with first class honours in Fine Art (sculpture) from the University of Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle Art School TAFE (photography) with an advanced diploma.
